Domain 2: The Classroom Environment
It’s important to create a classroom environment where there is respect and rapport between the teacher and students and between students. As well as to create a classroom culture that is open for all students to learn. My first artifact comes from my Spanish class. For second semester I decided to try to create a classroom full of respect between all. This artifact is an essential agreement that I came up with my students then we all signed the google document saying we would follow it. The google form is my artifact for 2a: Creating an Environment of Respect and Rapport. My second artifact demonstrates 2b: Establishing a Culture for Learning. While interning with Mr. Olsen for Individuals and Societies I created a series of posters to demonstrate the International Baccalaureates program’s IB learner profiles. I have included one of the posters I created. I tried to find quotes from people that have made an impact on history. This helps students see the importance of the IB learner profile and how they can be IB students while in class.

Essential Agreement
This is an agreement between Ms. Flachbart and the students in the Diploma Program Spanish Class at Sage International School:
I agree to be respectful towards my peers and Ms. Flachbart. My group can have one technological device on the table but the rest must be in the bucket. If I'm using my phone for other purposes than for looking up words Ms. Flachbart will take it away and return it at the end of the day. If it becomes an excessive problem it will be turned over to the administration. I agree to be on time and will treat others how I want to be treated. If I do not follow the essential agreement Ms. Flachbart and myself will have a meeting with an administrator.
